The Salzbach is a seven kilometer long, left and southwest tributary of the Saar in the Saarland district of Merzig-Wadern .

The Salzbach rises a good half a kilometer south of the Mettlach district of Wehingen at an altitude of about 317  m above sea level. NHN in an agricultural zone at the northern foot of the Pellinger Berg directly south of the L 170 .

The Salzbach Bach finally flows into the Mettlach district of Dreisbach at an altitude of about 169  m above sea level. NHN from the left into the Saar .
