Sam & Max: Season Two - All-Zeit Ready ( Sam & Max Beyond Time and Space ) is the title of the second season of the adventure series Sam & Max by Telltale Games . It consists of the five episodes Ice Station Santa , Moai Better Blues , Night of the Raving Dead , Chariots of the Dogs and What's New, Beelzebub? First released individually between November 2007 and April 2008 as an English download for Windows , Wii and Xbox 360 . In 2010 Atari published a complete German-language collection.

Season Two is the sequel to Sam & Max: Season One . The episodes are each self-contained narratives that together form a story and always refer to previous episodes. The last episode of the season is also the finale of the overarching storyline.

Ice Station Santa

That of a demon possessed Santa Claus sends a giant combat robot, the Maimtron 9000 to kill Sam and Max. After they have switched off the robot and exorcised Santa Claus , they must save the Christmas of the past, present and future.

Moai Better Blues

Sam and Max travel to Easter Island through a mysterious triangular dimensional gate . There they try to prevent a volcanic explosion , which threatens to destroy not only the island, but the entire civilization.

Night of the Raving Dead

Sam and Max travel to Stuttgart , where the vampire Jürgen tries to usurp world domination with a zombie army.

Chariots of the Dogs

The shopkeeper Bosco has disappeared without a trace. Sam and Max work with their neighbor, the detective Flint Paper, who was asked by Bosco's mother to find him. They get on an alien spaceship .

What's New, Beelzebub?

Sam and Max travel to Hell to save Bosco's soul. They meet the devil himself and Pedro, a mariachi .

Production notes

The English episodes were released as a download version one after the other from November 2007 to April 2008. In December 2008, at a press conference in London , it was announced that Atari, as a partner of Telltale, would be responsible for the worldwide marketing of the game for PC and Wii. Were announced this localized language versions in French and German, as well as subtitles in Italian and Spanish. The German version was released at the end of April 2010 under the name Sam & Max - Season 2: All-Zeit ready .

Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space received mixed to positive reviews. Metacritic aggregates 5 reviews to a mean value of 64. PC Games delivered a good review . Unlike the first season, however, the German voice output was criticized. Among other things, GameStar wrote : “But the dialogue direction is unforgivable because it is practically non-existent. [...] Instead, the dialogues lack liveliness and contextual emphasis. "
