Samala ( Gaelic : Samhla ) is a small scattered settlement on the Scottish Hebridean island of Baleshare . It is located on the east coast of the island and is the largest settlement on Baleshare. The Baleshare Causeway , which connects Baleshare with the larger neighboring island of North Uist , reaches the island near Samala. Samala is located about 2 km east of Teanamachar , the second settlement on Baleshare. Clachan-a-Luib on North Uist is about 1.5 km to the east.
