Samir & Viktor is a Swedish music duo made up of singers Samir Badran and Viktor Frisk.

Samir Badran
Samir Gustav Badran (born May 25, 1990 in Linköping , Sweden) gained fame by participating in the Swedish reality series Paradise Hotel in 2013 . In 2014 he was part of the series again for a week. In 2014 he founded the duo Samir & Viktor with the fashion blogger Viktor Frisk .
Badran's father is a Palestinian who was born in the Gaza Strip . In August 2014, his nine-year-old cousin was killed in an Israeli bomb attack in Jabalia .
Viktor Frisk
Carl Viktor Andersson Frisk (born March 2, 1995 in Alberga , Sweden) became known through his blog , in which he reports on fashion . In August 2016, he announced on Instagram that he was bisexual .
Career
The duo was founded in 2014. In May of the same year, the two singers released their first single Success , which reached number 1 in the Swedish iTunes charts and number 3 in the official Swedish charts in the first week after its release , and stayed there for 17 weeks.
In 2015 the duo took part in Melodifestivalen , the Swedish preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . With the song Groupie they reached the Andra Chansen round first, in which they won their duel against Behrang Miri & Victor Crone, and thus reached the final on March 14, 2015 in the Friends Arena in Stockholm , where they came eighth.
In 2016 they took part in the Melodifestivalen again. They took part in the first semifinals and made it to the final with their song Bada Nakna about Andra Chances ( Eng . Second Chance) , where they finished last.
In 2018 they qualified directly for the final of the Melodifestivalen with the song Shuffla , which was held on March 10, 2018 in the Friends Arena in Stockholm .
