Eric Willett (born January 2, 1988 ) is an American snowboarder . He starts in the freestyle disciplines.

Career

Willett has participated in the Ticket to Ride World Snowboard Tour competitions since 2007 . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he achieved his first podium finishes with third place in slopestyle at the Burton Australian Open in Perisher Blue , second place in big air at Billabong SnowStock 08 and a victory in slopestyle at Stylewars New Zealand in the snow park.

In the 2009/10 season he finished third in slopestyle at the Burton New Zealand Open in Cardrona and the Winter Dew Tour in Breckenridge and second in Big Air at the Boost Mobile Sno Sho in Perisher Blue . At the Winter X Games 2010 in Aspen , he won silver in slopestyle. In March 2010 he won the Slopestyle at the Burn River Jump in Livigno and won gold in the Slopestyle at the Winter-X-Games-Europe 2010 in Tignes .

In the 2010/11 season he reached third place in slopestyle at the O'Neill Evolution in Davos . This was followed by a second place in Big Air at the Burn River Jump in Livigno and victories in slopestyle at the Burton US Open in Vail and at the Quiksilver Showdown Over the City on Grouse Mountain . At the Winter Dew Tour he came in second place in slopestyle in Killington, Vermont and first place in Ogden . At the Winter X Games Europe 2011 he won bronze in slopestyle. In June 2011 he won Big Air at the Billabong Ante Up in Whistler . He finished the season in eighth place in the World Snowboard Tour overall standings. In January 2012 he was second in the Slopestyle at the O'Neill Evolution in Davos. In the same month he won the Winter Dew Tour in Killington. At the Snowboard World Championships in Oslo in 2012 , he finished 10th in slopestyle. In March 2012 he was third in Big Air at the Quiksilver Spring Battle 2012 in Flachauwinkl and won bronze in the Slopestyle at the Winter X Games Europe 2012 .

In the 2012/13 season he won Big Air at the Air & Style in Innsbruck and the BGV Russian Grand Prix in Moscow . He took second place in slopestyle at the Grandvalira Total Fight in Grandvalira and at The Shred Show in Whistler . At the Snowboard World Championships in 2013 in Stoneham he achieved 58th place in slopestyle and 22nd place in big air. In February 2015 he won the US Snowboarding Grand Prix and FIS World Cup races in Mammoth in slopestyle. The following month he was third in slopestyle at the Grandvalira Total Fight and at the end of the season he finished sixth in the Freestyle World Cup and third in the Slopestyle World Cup. In the 2015/16 season he took second place in slopestyle at the US Snowboarding Grand Prix and FIS World Cup races in Mammoth and fourth place in slopestyle at the 2016 Winter X Games . In the following season he came second in the Slopestyle at the Grandvalira Total Fight and 13th at the Winter X Games 2017 .
