The Samtgemeinde Clenze was a municipal association in the southern part of the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony . On November 1, 2006, she was with the Samtgemeinde Lüchow to Samtgemeinde Lüchow (Wendland) together.

In addition to the facilities of the primary level, the Drawehn School in Clenze is the only cooperative comprehensive school in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district. More than 700 schoolchildren learn here. The school is sponsored by the district.
