Samuel Kaylin
Samuel Kaylin (born January 6 . Jul / 18th January 1892 greg. In Melitopol , Taurida Gubernia , Russian Empire ; † 7. July 1983 in Bakersfield ) was a Ukrainian- American film composer .
Live and act
Kaylin was born in the Ukraine and moved to the USA on January 16, 1907 on board the steamer Neckar of the shipping company Norddeutscher Lloyd . There he worked as a musician in the Chinese Theater in Los Angeles . He began his film career in the early 1930s. In his career he was involved in more than 200 film productions, including for 20th Century Pictures .
