Samvel Melkonyan ( Armenian Սամվել Մելքոնյան, born March 15, 1984 in Yerevan , Armenian SSR ) is a former Armenian national soccer player.

Career

Melkonyan played for the Armenian clubs Spartak and Bananz Yerevan, MIKA Ashtarak and for the Ukrainian club Metalurh Donetsk before signing a two-year contract with the Bulgarian first division club FC Chernomorets Burgas during the winter break of the 2011/12 season . After the end of the season with only ten missions and not a single goal, the Bulgarian club and Melkonyan parted ways by mutual agreement. This was followed by further positions at Gandsassar Kapan , again MIKA Aschtarak and FC Alaschkert Martuni , where he ended his active career in 2017 by winning the championship .
