San Marino is a city in Los Angeles County in the US state of California , United States , with 13,300 inhabitants (as of 2004 ). The urban area has a size of 9.8 km². The city is south of Pasadena and west of Arcadia . The current Mayor of San Marino is Steven Huang.
history
A well-known attraction in San Marino is the Huntington Library . This was built on the property of a ranch from 1877 that was named San Marino and after which the city is named today. The famous astronomer Edwin Hubble , who, among other things, observed the expansion of the universe, died here in 1953.
