history
The first mention is in the Regestum Farfense of January 23, 1017 as the parish church of San Simeone de Ponte . In the Catalogo di Cencio Camerario from 1192, the church is listed as Sancto Symeoni de Pusterula ("Saint Simeon on the Pest Bridge"). On December 4, 1551 she was by Pope Julius III. elevated to title church. However, this rank was stripped from her by Pope Sixtus V in 1587 . It was completely renovated in 1610 by order of Cardinal Orazio Lancellotti . It was later called St. Magareta , as the church was the seat of the brotherhood of Margaret of Cortona . In 1824 it lost its parish church status. At the end of the 19th century there was an employed priest. In 1929 the ceiling came down and the church was abandoned. At that time the church had three naves and housed works by Ventura Salimbeni and Carlo Saraceni .
Only the facade of the church remains, the rest of the building was demolished to make room for residential buildings.
