Sander Svendsen (born August 6, 1997 in Molde ) is a Norwegian football player . He currently plays for Molde FK in the top Norwegian league Tippeligaen . He is the older brother of his current teammate Tobias Hammer Svendsen .

Club career

Svendsen made his debut on May 9, 2013 at the age of 15 for the professional team of Molde FK , when he was substituted on by then coach Ole Gunnar Solskjær for Mattias Moström in the 4-1 win against Aalesunds FK shortly before the end of the game . By the end of the year he had a brief appearance in the league and in the quarter-finals of the Norwegian Cup . Molde won the trophy and qualified for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League despite a mediocre sixth place in the league . In the 2014 season , the young striker also scored his first competitive goal in his first league appearance on matchday four against Sarpsborg 08 FF (final score 5: 1). Just three days after that game, Svendsen was used from the start in the first round of the Cup against Nachbaradal IL and scored three of the nine goals to make it 9-0. Both in the league and in the cup, however, these were the only goals he could score when his club won a double in 2014 . In qualifying for the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League, he played his first competitive games on the international stage. In the third qualifying round, his club failed at the Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk . In the first leg, Sander Svendsen equalized 1: 1 shortly before the final whistle. For the second leg he was not included in the squad and his team lost 2-1. In the 2015 season he reached the sixteenth finals with Molde in a strong European league season and failed there at the eventual tournament winner FC Sevilla .
