The Sanders Nunatak is a 850 m high and striking nunatak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Asgard Range, it rises south of the Noxon Cliff from the ice masses of the upper section of the Commonwealth Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1997 after Ryan Sanders of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration , a member of the National Ozone Expedition research program at McMurdo Station in 1986 and 1987, and senior scientist in 1991, 1992, 1994 and 1996 .
