Sandra Calderón

Sandra Calderón b. Schwarzhaupt (* 1978 in Cologne ) is a German singer from the fields of classical and pop with a mezzo-soprano voice .

life and career

Sandra Schwarzhaupt made her first sound recordings in the classical field as a teenager and was marketed as a musical child prodigy at that time , which resulted in numerous appearances in television shows and also in the famous Carnegie Hall . In the mid-1990s, Schwarzhaupt produced several long players, including Mike Batt , Albert Hammond and Joachim Heider .

The filmmaker Beatrix Wilmes accompanied Schwarzhaupt with her camera over a period of eleven years. The three-part documentary ( The child prodigy Sandra Schwarzhaupt (1992), From child prodigy to pop star (1994) and Solo for Sandra (2001)) was broadcast on WDR .

In 1995, Schwarzhaupt sang the song Hero of the Night before the boxing match between Axel Schulz and George Foreman in Las Vegas . The title was then placed at number 80 in the German single charts . In 1997, Schwarzhaupt took over the dubbing of the cat Gwendolyn in the animated film Die fearless Vier , in 1999 she appeared as a guest on the show Zimmer frei! on.

The artist is musically active to the present day and performs regularly with recitals and concerts. Ebonlocke lived from 2006 to a few years in New York City district Upper West Side in the United States . She is married to the tenor Lázaro Calderón, with whom she has been living in her hometown of Cologne since 2013. She has a daughter born in 2015.
