Sandra Milo
Sandra Milo (born March 11, 1933 in Tunis ; born Elena Liliana Greco ) is an Italian actress .
Life
Milo, the cousin of Yves Montand , studied at the University of Milan and worked at the same time as a photo model and as a nude model . After being discovered by a film producer, she made a career as an erotic curve star in Italian and French productions.
She was cast as a gangster bride, easy girl or beauty from high society . She was best known for her role as Carla, the friend of the main actor Marcello Mastroianni in Federico Fellini's Eight and Half (1963), for which she gave up the decision made after her first marriage to turn her back on the film business. For this film and for her portrayal in Fellini's Julia and the Ghosts (1965), she was awarded the Nastro d'Argento , the prize of the Italian film journalists. In 1968 she married a Roman surgeon for the second time and then withdrew from the film world until 1979. She was later seen on television in 1985 as the presenter of the show Piccoli fans . In the new millennium she was mainly seen on stage, in 2006/07 in the play 8 women .
