Sandy Duncan (athlete)

Sandy Duncan (actually Kenneth Sandilands Duncan ; born April 26, 1912 in Crawshaw Booth , Lancashire , † June 18, 2005 in London ) was a British sprinter , long jumper and sports official.

At the British Empire Games he was fourth in the long jump for England starting in London in 1934 ; In 1938 in Sydney he was tenth in the long jump, retired over 100 yards in the run and won silver with the English 4-by-110-yard relay.

From 1949 to 1975 he was Secretary General of the British Olympic Association . In 1974 he was awarded an OBE .
