Sangoné Kandji (born June 9, 1992 ) is a Senegalese long and triple jumper .

Athletic career

Sangoné Kandji gained her first international experience at the Junior African Championships 2009 in Bambous , where she won the gold medal in the long jump with 5.82 m. Two years later she won the bronze medal at the Junior African Championships in Gaborone with 5.59 m. In 2012 she reached the African Championships in Porto-Novo with 12.60 m in tenth place in the triple jump and was eliminated with 5.55 m in the long jump qualification. Four years later, at the African Championships in Durban , she was sixth in the triple jump with 12.98 m and seventh in the long jump with 6.00 m. In 2017 she won the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku with 13.05 m and was fifth in the third jump with 13.05 m and tenth in the long jump with 5.69 m at the Francophonie Games in Abidjan . She then took sixth place at the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 12.92 m. In 2018, she finished fifth in the triple jump at the African Championships in Asaba with 13.01 m, while she was sixth in the long jump with 6.06 m. The following year she was at the Africa Games in Rabat with 12.77 m seventh in the triple jump and with 5.80 m twelfth in the long jump.
