Sangrita
Sangrita is a drink made from various fruit and vegetable juices that is often served with tequila in Mexico . In Mexico, Sangrita is a generic name.
Components
There is no fixed recipe for the Mexican Sangrita variants. Most recipes assume an almost equal proportion of tomato and orange juice . Sangrita is seasoned with salt and pepper , lime and onion juice , Worcester and Tabasco sauce .
Sangrita outside Mexico
In Germany and Europe , Sangrita has been a trademark of Anton Riemerschmid Weinbrennerei und Likörfabrik GmbH & Co. KG in Erding that has been protected for decades . Heinrich Riemerschmid decided in 1962 to bring Sangrita to the German market. After two years of product development , the product was launched on the German market. A classic, mild variant in green and a red, slightly more piquant variant were offered.

Even today, the drink is available in two versions with different degrees of spiciness. The sharpness was adapted to the European taste. Sangrita also serves as the basis for alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails and as an ingredient for spicy dishes.
