The Sans Souci is a 4-star river cruise ship under the German flag of the MS Sanssouci Hotelschiff GmbH from Peißen .
history
The ship was built as Europa in 2000 by Scheepswerf Grave in the Netherlands and partially renovated in 2006 and 2007. New drive motors were installed in January / February 2012.
commitment
The Sans Souci runs from spring to autumn on routes between Stralsund and Berlin along the German Baltic Sea islands as well as via Stettin and the Oder , between Hamburg , Hanover or Berlin and Dresden or Prague on the Elbe , as well as on the Havel , Kiel Canal , Mittelland Canal and Saale . She sails both for the owner shipping company and in charter.
technology
It is driven by two Veth rudder propellers and Scania DI16 52M motors with 441 kW each; the two-channel bow thruster has an output of 265 kW. The power supply is provided by two diesel generators with 210 kVA each. In order to be able to sail on waters with low bridges, the wheelhouse and all superstructures and railings on the upper deck can be lowered or folded over.
Furnishing
The ship, classified in the “4-star plus” category, has 40 outside cabins, each with two beds. The 11–12 m² cabins have a bathroom with a sink, shower, toilet, satellite TV, on-board telephone, safe, hairdryer and individually adjustable air conditioning.
The facilities also include a sauna with fitness area, on-board restaurant, bar, library, a spacious sun deck and a panorama deck with panorama window (full cabin width).
