Stéphane Sanseverino (born October 9, 1961 in Paris ), aka Sanseverino , is a French singer-songwriter and guitarist . His songs are in the tradition of musique manouche and stylistically represent a mixture of chanson and jazz.

life and career

In his childhood he often moved with his father. In Eastern Europe he discovered gypsy jazz and became a fan of Django Reinhardt . He learned the guitar as a self-taught person with enormous ambition . Later he was part of numerous bands: Les Voleurs De Poules ( 1992 - 99 ), Dans l'Intérêt Des Familles, Doc Denat, Les Maris Jaloux. His greatest success was the Discovery of the Year award at the French music gala Victoires de la Musique in 2003.
