Sansevieria francisii is a species of plant in the genus Sansevieria in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae). The specific epithet honors the British-born succulent connoisseur Francis K. Horwood from the USA.
description
Sansevieria francisii grows stem-forming with runners as a perennial , succulent plant. The upright trunk is up to 30 centimeters high. The runners are up to 16 centimeters long and 0.8 to 1.4 centimeters thick. The up to 40 leaves are arranged in a spiral in five rows and are cylindrical in shape. The simple leaf blade is 8 to 15 centimeters long and has a clear groove on the upper side for at least a quarter to three quarters of the length. It ends in a thorn-like spade tip. The leaves are dark green with gray-green transverse bands and four to six dark green longitudinal lines. The spreading edge is brownish red with a white edge along the first half of the base. The second half is green. The leaf surface is slightly rough.
The single- eared inflorescences are 12 to 25 centimeters high. The panicles are densely covered with one to two flowers per tuft. The supporting sheet is triangular in shape and 6 by 3 millimeters in size. The flower stalk is up to millimeters long. The bracts are greenish white to brownish green. The flower tube is up to 2 centimeters in size. The white tips are one centimeter long.
