background

It is in Santa's Knocking at Todd Nunes second film after Scarry Larry . He had the idea for as a teenager when he saw a poster for Silent Night, Horror Night that fascinated him. When he finally saw the film as an adult, he was initially disappointed, but had the idea of bringing out his own Christmas slasher. First came the short film Here Comes Santa , which had a similar theme. He then wrote the script in the style of a slasher from the 1980s. In some cases, he had to accommodate the Christmas decorations that were widely used in production in his private house. He chose Lake Arrowhead (Wisconsin) , Los Angeles and Southampton in Benicia as filming locations .

He played the leading role with his younger sister Ashley Mary Nunes .

Tommy Pietch and Josh Maccaron were responsible for the extremely bloody splatter effects .

The film debuted at the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival , where it received the award for local productions, and at the RIP Horror Festival , where it received the audience award and the RIP award for best slasher. It was then shown at other film festivals.
