Santa Ana is a town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Santa Ana is the fourth largest town in the canton of Patamanta in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Pucarani in the province of Los Andes and is located between the metropolis of La Paz and the southeastern edge of Lake Titicaca . The village is located at an altitude of 3930  m on the Bolivian Altiplano .

Santa Ana is located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. The region has a distinctive time-of-day climate in which the mean temperature fluctuations during the day are more pronounced than during the year.
