Santa Anastasia in Sardara , located near the late Gothic church of Santa Anastasia, is one of the most important fountain sanctuaries ( Italian Pozzo sacro ) on Sardinia . Sardara is located near the SS131 in the province of Sud Sardegna on the eastern edge of the Campidano . The water comes from the nearby small source Sa Mitzixedda.

In 1913 Antonio Taramelli uncovered a well temple built from roughly hewn limestone blocks. A 12-step staircase leads to an intact tholos-like paved room 4 m in diameter and around 5 m high. Excavations carried out between 1980 and 2000 suggest, however, that the second well dates from the 13th or 12th century BC. Is to be dated.
