Sante Lorenzo Minotti Ceccherini (born November 15, 1863 in Incisa in Val d'Arno , † August 9, 1932 in Marina di Pisa ) was an Italian fencer and lieutenant general .
successes
Sante Ceccherini took part in the 1908 Olympic Games in London , where he took second place in the team competition with the saber. Together with Marcello Bertinetti , Riccardo Nowak , Abelardo Olivier and Alessandro Pirzio Biroli , he received the silver medal. In the individual competitions he was eliminated with the saber in the semi-finals, while he did not get beyond the first round with the sword.
Ceccherini was an officer in the Italian armed forces of the Kingdom of Italy and most recently held the rank of lieutenant general .
