Sapruddja (Ukrainian Запруддя ; Russian Запрудье / Saprudje ) is a village in Ukraine in the Kiev Oblast with about 1,300 inhabitants (2004), about 72 kilometers south of Kiev on the Horochowatka River (Гороховатка), a tributary of the Ros .
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1507 and carried the name Winzentiwka (Вінцентівка) or in Russian Winzentowka (Винцентовка) until 1960, this is derived from Stanislaw Winzenz, who belonged to the noble family of Jabłonowskis and owned the village from (since 1752) . The current name can be translated as "dam".
