Sarıgerme is a place in southwest Turkey at the mouth of the Sarısu River to the Aegean Sea , between Dalyan and Fethiye , about 50 km from the Greek island of Rhodes . It is located in the Muğla Province in the Ortaca County .
Sarıgerme, the 20 km long sandy beach and the offshore island Baba Adası, are known today as a holiday area. In ancient times the city of Pisilis was located here, the remains of which are partially excavated and can be viewed.
In the vicinity is the archaeological site of the ancient port city of Kaunos .
The nearest airport is in neighboring Dalaman .
