Sara Bachmann (born February 16, 1995 in Schlanders ) is an Italian - German natural track tobogganist . She has been competing in the Intercontinental Cup since the 2009/2010 season, took part in the 2011 World Championship and won the bronze medal at the 2012 Junior World Championship .

Career

At the beginning of her career, Sara Bachmann celebrated numerous successes in young talent competitions. She won multiple Italian championships in her age group and came second at the FIL Youth Games in 2008 and first place in the Youth II category in 2009. With several podium places, she finished sixth in the 2009/2010 season and seventh in the 2010/2011 season. She was able to qualify within the Italian team for participation in the 2011 World Cup in Umhausen . There she reached sixth place in the women's singles as the youngest starter. At the 2011 European Junior Championships in Lasa a week later , she was fifth. The next year Bachmann won the bronze medal at the Junior World Championships 2012 in Latsch . In the World Cup Bachmann first launched in late December 2012 in Laas and took it to fourth place.
