Sara Johansson

Sara Johansson (born January 23, 1980 ) is a Swedish football player.

Career

Johansson started playing football at Lörby IF . From there, the offensive all- rounder, who can be used both as a midfielder and as a striker , moved to the newly formed Kristianstad / Wä DFF in Damallsvenskan in 1998 . After two years in which she was able to place with the club in midfield of the league, she moved on to Djurgården Damfotboll at the turn of the millennium . In 2003 and 2004 she won the Swedish championship title with the club, which at the time formed a syndicate with Älvsjö AIK , and the Swedish Cup in 2004 and 2005. She has been playing for Hammarby IF since 2006 .

Johansson took part with the Swedish national team in the 2003 and 2007 World Championships . At the first tournament she reached the final against Germany with the national team , which Nia Künzer decided for the German team with a golden goal . Johansson was not used in the final, her only tournament game she played in the semifinals against Canada . She also took part in the 2000 Olympic Games with the national selection . In total, she played 26 international matches between her debut on September 8, 2000 and 2007, scoring seven goals.
