Sarah Hay

Sarah Hay (born September 16, 1987 in New York City ) is an American actress and ballet dancer who danced as a semi-soloist at the Semperoper in Dresden . Her acting performance as the lead actress Claire Robbins of the miniseries Flesh and Bone of the US TV channel Starz taught her the Golden Globe Awards 2016 nominated for Best Actress - Miniseries or TV movie one, and was nominated for the Satellite Award and the Critics' Choice Television Award .

Life

Hay grew up in Princeton , New Jersey, with a brother and sister. Her parents are psychologists and amateur dancers. She began taking ballet lessons at the age of three and was trained at the School of American Ballet from the age of eight . At the age of 22 she followed the call of the Semperoper in Dresden , where she got a job as a second soloist. Already in 2010 she had an extra role as a ballerina in the film Black Swan .
