Sarah Winkenstette

Sarah Winkenstette (born January 2, 1980 in Rheda-Wiedenbrück ) is a German film director and screenwriter who produces various children's television formats for KiKA and ZDF , among others .

Live and act

Winkenstette began her professional activity in 2000 as a trainee at Bertelsmann . In 2003 she attended the RTL School of Journalism in Cologne, which she graduated in 2005. She then worked for ZDFtivi and WDR, among others . In 2007 she began studying film at the Cologne Academy of Media Arts , during which time she directed Lindenstrasse in the episode Terror . She finished her studies in 2011 with her graduation film, Gekidnapped , and the short film has won several awards. In 2016 she was a screenwriter and director in several episodes Let's talk. Because opinion counts! works for ZDFtivi. In March 2020, her cinema debut, Too Far Away, was released in German cinemas.
