RTL journalism school for TV and multimedia
The RTL Journalist School for TV and Multimedia is a journalist school founded by RTL in 2001 , in which television journalists are trained in Cologne . It is organized as a GmbH . The director of the school is RTL editor-in-chief Peter Kloeppel , the managing director is Leonhard Ottinger .
Every two years the school takes on a year of 30 students. For this purpose, applicants have to go through a multi-stage and anonymized application process. The two-year training includes theory blocks for a total of six months at RTL in Cologne, Berlin and the USA. Lecturers include Wolf Schneider and Christoph Teuner . In addition, the journalist students complete various practical stations both in editorial offices within the RTL group and at external media companies. The RTL school also offers open media seminars such as the TV Summer School .
