history

On November 23, 2010 , the ZDFinfokanal (now ZDFinfo ) began broadcasting the political talk show. In the first edition, the Lord Mayor of Stuttgart, Wolfgang Schuster, answered questions from internet users about the controversial Stuttgart 21 rail project . At this point, viewers could only participate via the VZ networks schülerVZ , studiVZ and meinVZ . At that time, log in was broadcast at 9:00 p.m. In the months that followed the broadcast time changed several times, most recently 22:30 to 23:30 live from the ZDF Capital Studio has been transferred. In the case of special topics, the discussion was occasionally broadcast on the ZDF main program.

With the 155th episode, the broadcast was discontinued on November 5, 2014. However, ZDFinfo announced new interactive discussion formats for 2015.

Moderation

concept

Log in was moderated from March 2012 to November 5, 2014 by Morgenmagazin moderator Wolf-Christian Ulrich . Before that he was occasionally represented by Cherno Jobatey . A moderator stood by his side. Until March 27, 2012, this was the ZDF editor Milena Bonse . From April 2012 to February 27, 2013 Jeannine Michaelsen moderated log in . The ZDF capital city editor Sonja Schünemann took over the representation. From April 17, 2013 to November 5, 2014, Sandra Riess was the first online presenter. During the broadcast, she read out selected audience questions from the editorial staff and presented the users' survey results on a large touchscreen . The comments presented were, on the one hand, comments that were posted during the broadcast and, on the other hand, those that were published on the broadcasting platforms during the week. So two-minute-old tweets came into the show as well as those that were posted on the Friday before the broadcast after the broadcast topic was published.

Guests in the studio were politicians and people in charge. Initially, the concept of the program was such that the guests had to answer audience questions on a specific topic. This last took place in the element log in-direct . From January 2013 the two main guests had to answer as many questions as possible from the users in two and a half minutes. These could be posted via online chat, Facebook, Twitter, email or as a comment on a blog. Comments selected by the editorial team were shown as crawling titles for the television viewers . The on-site audience could also take part in the discussion. In some cases, other thematically appropriate guests were also invited.

The format was aimed at younger viewers who are politically interested and should encourage an active exchange of views.

From March 2012 log in was produced with the support of Probono Fernsehproduktion GmbH .
