Sardar As'ad Bachtiyari ( Persian سردار اسعد بختیاری, Ali-Qoli Khan; also known as Hajj Ali-Qoli Chan Sardar Asad II. ) (* 1856 ; † 1917 ) was a Bakhtiyari tribal leader and one of the most important figures in the Constitutional Revolution .

Sardar As'ad Bachtiyari was considered one of the best and most honorable tribal leaders of the Bachtiyaris. In tribal matters, he made decisions fairly and impartially. As an autodidact , he traveled to Paris and stayed there for a few years. In 1909 he returned to Iran and supported the constitutional movement. He was in command of the Bakhtiyari troops, which moved to Tehran in 1909 and liberated the parliamentarians trapped by the Cossack brigade .
