Sasa Schwarzjirg (born June 15, 1986 in Vienna ) is an Austrian presenter and journalist .

life and career

Schwarzjirg was born as the daughter of an Austrian entrepreneur and a Croatian-Italian psychotherapist. She grew up in Tullnerbach in Lower Austria . In her childhood and youth she played the piano at the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna. In 1999 she took part in the celebrations of the “1000 Years of Austria” celebration with a concert piece. Schwarzjirg has an older sister, Bianca Schwarzjirg , who is also a presenter.

After graduating from the Sacré Coeur in 2005 and completing five years of training as a kindergarten teacher, Schwarzjirg studied at the Werbe Akademie in Vienna. There she qualified for an elite year with her thesis in 2007, which she graduated with honors in 2008. Schwarzjirg then worked in an advertising agency before she was discovered at a casting for the German music channel VIVA . There she was hired for the three-part mini soap Ogo . In 2008 Schwarzjirg became the official VIVA face and moderated the youth program VIVA Pur until 2012 , and from 2012 also the VIVA Austria Top 20 . At the end of 2012 she was poached by the Austrian private broadcaster ATV and moderated the daily society magazine Hi Society until July 2013 .

In addition to her work as a TV and off-air event host, Schwarzjirg also worked as an editor for Austrian magazines. From 2008 to 2010 she wrote for the monthly youth magazine Xpress of the news publishing group. She was responsible for the music, stars, technology and electronics departments. In 2009 she took over the position of text editor for the youth magazine before moving to the Austrian society magazine Seitenblicke for five years in 2010 . At the same time, from 2011 Schwarzjirg wrote articles for the monthly magazine Miss. As of 2013, Schwarzjirg had a column. In 2015 the Kronen Zeitung recruited Schwarzjirg from the Red Bull Media House. Since then she has worked for the Kronen Zeitung as a TV and print editor, as well as a presenter. In 2018 she also took over the management of the fashion department for Krone Bunt for the publishing house.

From 2011 to 2016, Schwarzjirg was a testimonial for BIPA . In 2019, Sasa Schwarzjirg became the official campaign face of IT Cosmetics, a brand of the Loreal Group.

Others

Schwarzjirg is committed to various charity projects, including the breast cancer organization “Dancer Against Cancer”, as well as several animal welfare campaigns such as “Shut up”. In 2013, Schwarzjirg was the face of the “Stop talking, Start planting” campaign alongside personalities such as Lilian Klebow and politician Eva Glawischnig .
