Sascha Bendiks

Sascha Bendiks (born June 22, 1968 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German singer , musician , songwriter and composer .

Life

Bendiks grew up in Villingen-Schwenningen in the Black Forest. He studied sport, geography and English for teaching at grammar schools at the University of Freiburg. In addition, he was on stage as a singer and keyboard player in various formations. With the band Mitho Kanywa he won the Big Deal of the music magazine Soundcheck in 1994, the Baden-Württemberg Rock Prize and the German Rock Prize.

In 1996 he completed his studies with the first state examination in order to dedicate himself exclusively to music. Bendiks hired himself as a bar pianist , songwriter , composer for advertising , theater and hits , songwriter , speaker for audio book productions and as a live and studio musician for various productions from hard rock to folk music.

In 2000 he founded the band “Halbe Truth” with which he brought his self-written songs on stage. He became known nationwide as the musical partner of the author and cabaret artist Jess Jochimsen . The two Freiburg artists have been on stage together since 2003. He presents the cabaret program “In Teufels Küche” together with the Mainz pianist Simon Höneß . He brings the quirky Tom Waits homage "WAITS" to the stage with Freiburg drummer Schroeder.
