Sascha Pfeffer (born October 19, 1986 in Halle an der Saale ) is a German soccer player who has been under contract with Lokomotive Leipzig since summer 2017 .
Career
Pfeffer played in his youth for Halleschen FC and FV Dresden-Nord . For the 2005/06 season he was taken over to the men's team of FV Dresden-Nord , where he immediately became a regular in the major league.
In the summer of 2007, Pfeffer was signed by city rivals Dynamo Dresden . On September 1, 2009, he was seriously injured in the DFB Cup match against 1. FC Nürnberg in a clash with İlkay Gündoğan . Pfeffer suffered a fractured ankle, a ruptured ligament and a meniscus damage in his knee. A second injury (rupture of the syndesmotic ligament ) on March 20, 2010 threw Pfeffer back again. Due to his injuries, Pfeffer was often only used in the second team of Dynamo Dresden during this time. Things went better for him - almost two years after his first serious injury - in the cup game against Bayer 04 Leverkusen on July 30, 2011. Pfeffer was substituted on in extra time and after winning a duel played a dream pass into Alexander Schnetzler's run , who made the victory of Dresden against the reigning runner-up with his goal to 4: 3 .
Since he could not establish himself during the second division season 2011/12 and only played ten short appearances as a substitute, Pfeffer moved to Chemnitzer FC in the third division at the end of the season . Within the league, he rejoined his parent club HFC in the summer of 2014. After three seasons with the Halle team, Pfeffer moved to the Regionalliga Nordost for 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in summer 2017 .
