Saskia Richter

Saskia Richter (born July 12, 1978 in Gehrden ; † August 22, 2015 ) was a German political scientist .

Career

Richter passed her Abitur in 1998 at the Viktoria-Luise-Gymnasium in Hameln .

From 1998 to 2003 she completed a degree in social sciences at the Georg-August University in Göttingen . She then did her doctorate until 2009 on the subject of "Petra Kelly (1947–1992) - Rise and Fall of a Green Figurehead". This dissertation on Petra Kelly was published in 2010 under the title The Activist. The life of Petra Kelly as a book and received wide attention nationwide.

She worked for the SPD (2001–2002), the Neue Gesellschaft / Frankfurter Hefte , the historical encyclopedia of Bavaria , the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung , the Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung , Spiegel Online and for the daily newspaper . Since 2012 she has completed her habilitation at the University of Hildesheim .

Saskia Richter died of cancer in August 2015.
