Sassocorvaro (in the local dialect: Scorbèra ) is a fraction of the Italian municipality ( comune ) Sassocorvaro Auditore with in the province of Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche . Sassocorvaro is located about 36 kilometers west-southwest of Pesaro and about 12.5 kilometers northwest of Urbino on the Foglia and is part of the Comunità montana del Montefeltro . In the district of Mercatale , the Foglia is dammed into an artificial lake.

The place was first mentioned in a document about the castle on Monte Rotondo in 1061.
The previously independent municipality of Sassocorvaro was merged with the municipality of Auditore to form the new municipality of Sassocorvaro Auditore on January 1, 2019 . The municipality of Sassocorvaro last had 3465 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2017) on an area of 66.52 km².
