Saufatu Sopoanga

Saufatu Sopoanga (* 1952 ) is a Tuvaluan politician . Between 2002 and 2004 he was Prime Minister of the island state.

Sopoanga was initially the country's finance minister. On August 2, 2002, he was elected as the new Prime Minister by members of parliament after his predecessor Koloa Talake had lost his seat as a member of parliament in the previous election.
