Tomasi Puapua

Sir Tomasi Puapua GCMG , KBE , PC (born September 10, 1938 ) is a Tuvaluan politician.

Puapua took over the post of Prime Minister of Tuvalu on September 8, 1981 after the resignation of Toaripi Lauti and held it until October 16, 1989. On June 26, 1998 he was appointed Governor General, the British monarch's deputy head of state. He held this office until September 9, 2003.
