The Sayler's Creek (also known as Sailors Creek or Sayler's Creek ) is a 14.7 km long river with historical significance in Prince Edward County in the center of the US state of Virginia .

The creek rises 2.1 kilometers northwest of Moran in a wooded area at the end of Lee Drive , a side street off County Road 616 . It flows from here in a northerly direction. After about 3 miles, the river passes under Virginia State Route 307 . From here it forms a small lake in a moorland 500 meters downstream . It then flows through the area where the historic battles on Sailor's Creek took place during the Civil War of 1865. Today the Sailor's Creek Battlefield State Park is located here . Saylers Creek turns from there in a north-westerly direction.

Shortly before its confluence with the Appomattox River , 3.1 kilometers east of Stoddert , the Little Saylers Creek joins as a left tributary .
