Nottoway County is located just southeast of the geographic center of Virginia and has an area of ​​819 square kilometers, of which four square kilometers are water. It is bordered clockwise by the following counties: Amelia County , Dinwiddie County , Brunswick County , Lunenburg County, and Cumberland County .
