Scarred is a death metal band from Esch-sur-Alzette , Luxembourg , founded in 2003 , which initially played Thrash Metal .
history
Scarred was originally founded in 2003 as a thrash metal music project and only a year later released the EP Inner Scars . Over time the band's sound changed to heavier Death Metal-like music.
Five years after the EP was released, the debut album called New Filth Order was released . The group has since played at the most famous music festivals in Europe, including the Wacken Open Air and the Metalcamp (both in 2009). On May 10, 2013, the second album, Gaia / Medea , was released on the French label Klonosphere (distributed by Season of Mist ). When mastering worked Textures musician Jochen Jacobs. Attila Nörös from Nevermore can be heard as a guest musician .
The group has also been seen as the opening act for The Black Dahlia Murder , Decapitated , Lamb of God , Arch Enemy and Swashbuckle . The group played increasingly in France , Belgium , Luxembourg and also in Germany . Between June 5th and 9th, 2013 the group played five concerts, one in Germany and four in France. An Apple a Day could be seen as support . The performances take place as part of The Holoscene Extinction Tour .
