The Schönbürzel ( Glaucestrilda ) are a subgenus of splendid finches within the genus of Astrilde . It consists of three types. The closest relatives are the Kappenastrilde and the Rotbürzelastrilde . The distribution area extends from the northeastern tip of South Africa to Mozambique , Tanzania , Zambia and Angola , Namibia , western Senegal over northern Nigeria and Cameroon to the southwest of Chad .
