Horodnja

Horodnja ( Ukrainian Городня ; Russian Городня Gorodnja ) is a city in the north of the Ukrainian Chernihiv Oblast and the center of the raion of the same name with about 14,000 inhabitants. The river Tschybrysch ( Чибриж ) flows through the place .

Horodnya airfield

The settlement was founded in the middle of the 16th century. In 1957 Horodnja received the status of the city. For the township are still the three villages Aljoschynske ( Альошинське ) Woksal-Horodnia ( Вокзал-Городня ) and Pavlo-Iwaniwske ( Павло-Іванівське ) and the settlement Jasseniwka ( Ясенівка ).
