Dmytriwka (Bachmatsch)

Dmytriwka ( Ukrainian Дмитрівка ; Russian Дмитровка Dmitrowka ) is an urban-type settlement in the east of the Ukrainian Chernihiv Oblast with about 2,300 inhabitants (2014).

The village was founded in 1647 and has had urban-type settlement status since 1958. Dmytriwka is the only village in the settlement council of the same name in the south of the Bachmatsch district, about 180 km southeast of the Chernihiv oblast center and 37 km south of the Bachmatsch district center . Dmytriwka is located on the banks of the Romen and on the territorial roads T-25-14 and T-25-15 and has a train station on the Bachmatsch- Romny railway line .
