Cholmy

Cholmy ( Ukrainian Холми ; Russian Холмы ) is an urban-type settlement in the north of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 2,700 inhabitants (2014).

Cholmy was founded in the mid-16th century and has had urban-type settlement status since 1958. Cholmy is the only village of the settlement council municipality and is located in the east of Rajon Koriukivka on the right bank of the Ubid ( Убідь ), a 106 km long tributary of the Desna 118 km northeast of the Oblastzentrum Chernihiv and 31 km northeast of the Rajonzentrum Koriukivka . Territorial road T-25-12 runs through the settlement .
