Ladan ( Ukrainian and Russian Ладан ) is an urban-type settlement in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 6300 inhabitants (2014).

The village, founded in 1603, has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1938.

geography

Ladan is located on the banks of the Udaj and on the T-25-30 territorial road in the Pryluky district, 172 km southeast of the Chernihiv oblast center and 18 km southeast of the Pryluky district center . The village of Varwa is 14 km to the east and the village of Podyschtsche ( Подище ⊙ ), which is part of the Ladan Settlement Council , has about 780 inhabitants and is 5 km east of Ladan.
