Parafiivka

Parafijiwka ( Ukrainian Парафіївка ; Russian Парафиевка Parafijewka ) is an urban-type settlement in the southeast of the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 2,400 inhabitants (2015).

Local sugar factory

The village has had the status of an urban-type settlement since 1960 and is the administrative center of the 61.863 km² settlement council of the same name in the east of Itschnja Rajon . The settlements Luhowe ( Лугове ⊙ ) with about 90 inhabitants and Sofijiwka ( Софіївка ⊙ ) with about 50 inhabitants also belong to the municipality.

Parafiivka is located on the regional road P-68 20 km east of the Rajon center Itschnja and about 170 km southeast of the Oblast center Chernihiv .
