Schönlind is a district of the city of Weißenstadt in the Upper Franconian district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtel Mountains .

The district road WUN 1 crosses the town and connects Schönlind to the district road WUN 2 in the direction of Voitsumra and the state road St 2180 . The place is on the edge of the Weißenstädter Forest. The Sägwiesenbach with several branches and the Zinnbach, which flow into the Eger , arise in the water-rich area . A popular hiking destination is the Rudolfstein on the Schneeberg .

In 1398 the place with a forest bee pasture was mentioned in a document. The period from 1513 to the Thirty Years' War was the prime of tin mining . The facilities included a colliery and charcoal burner on the Schneeberg. After Kretschmann there were the tin mines "Reiche Fürstenzeche", which was also called "Beschertes Glück", and the "Schönlinder Stollen". Today the place lives from agriculture and tourism.
